Pattamadai in Tamil Nadu, Pattamadai Wallets , also known as “Pattu Pai”, are a traditional form of floor mat made from Korai grass (a type of river grass). These mats are celebrated for their fine texture, artistic patterns, and durable craftsmanship, reflecting centuries of cultural heritage and skilled artistry.
Each mat is meticulously woven by local artisans, predominantly women, who possess generations of knowledge passed down through families. The Korai grass is harvested, sun-dried, softened through water treatment, and then dyed in vibrant natural colors before being handwoven on a loom. The result is a supple, smooth mat often compared to fine silk due to its finish.
Traditionally used for sleeping, sitting, or religious ceremonies, Pattamadai mats are also popular as wedding gifts—especially personalized mats with names and dates woven into them. Returns Policy
You may return most new, unopened items within 7 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

Due to the natural variations in raw materials and the handcrafting process, slight differences in colour, texture, and finish may occur compared to product images. These variations are a hallmark of authentic craftsmanship and add to the charm and individuality of every item.
