Mahabalipuram (also known as Mamallapuram) is an important historic and archaeological site located in Tamil Nadu, India. The art and architecture of Mahabalipuram primarily belong to the Pallava period , especially during the reigns of Mahendravarman and Narasimhavarman , dating to the 7th and 8th centuries CE.
